Patrick is the Managing Partner of the firm. Previously, Patrick was a member of the founding team of TowerBrook, being a Managing Director and Investment Committee member since its inception, and was part of TowerBrook's spin-out from Soros Private Equity Partners, which he joined in 2004. Prior to TowerBrook, Patrick was a co-Founder and Senior Partner at Doughty Hanson.
Patrick earned his A.B. from Harvard College and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Chief Investment Officer
Rayhan is the Chief Investment Officer of the firm. Previously, Rayhan was a Managing Director and a member of the founding team of TowerBrook, being part of TowerBrook's spin-out from Soros Private Equity Partners, which he joined in 2004. Prior to TowerBrook, Rayhan worked at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.
Rayhan graduated from Oxford University with a First Class Masters degree in Chemistry, coming top of his department in his final year.
Chief Investment Officer
Adam is a Partner of the firm. Previously, Adam was the European General Counsel and a Managing Director at TowerBrook, where he worked from 2011 to 2015. Prior to TowerBrook, Adam worked at Sullivan & Cromwell for nine years.
Adam received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he finished first in his class, and his B.A. from Claremont McKenna College.
Pascal is a Partner of the firm. Previously, Pascal was a Senior Principal and Investment Committee member at Doughty Hanson, which he joined in 2003. Prior to Doughty Hanson, Pascal spent five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers working in its Transaction Services Department in Luxembourg and London.
Pascal has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from HEC Management School - University of Liege and a MA degree in International Business Analysis from the University of Leicester
Irmo is a Director of the firm. Previously he was an entrepreneur and business owner, having owned and operated a health food restaurant business based in New York. Prior to that, Irmo was a Principal at TowerBrook where he worked from 2008 to 2013. Prior to TowerBrook, Irmo worked at JP Morgan.
Irmo received his MSc in Business Economics (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam.
Giles is a Director of the firm. Previously Giles worked as an Investment Manager at Bregal Capital for five years, and at UBS before that in the UK Investment Banking and Real Estate Investment Banking teams.
Giles graduated from Durham University with a degree in Classics.
Previously Julien worked as an investment professional at Doughty Hanson for four years where he was involved on a number of transactions across Europe. Prior to that, Julien was a consultant at Bain & Company in Paris.
Julien received a diploma of Engineering from the EcolePolytechnique, an MSc of Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD.
Previously Tom was an Associate at Bregal Capital and prior to that started his career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Tom graduated from Imperial College London with a First Class MSci degree in Physics.
Previously Gilles worked as an Associate at BregalCapital for two years. Prior to that, Gilles was at Credit Suisse in the European M&A and Industrial/Energy teams.
Gilles received an MSc in Industrial Engineering from EcoleCentrale Paris.
Paul Tutein Nolthenius
Previously Paul worked at Credit Suisse in the EMEA Technology, Media and Telecom team.
Paul received his MSc in Econometrics (cum laude) from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.

Giuseppe is a Partner of Clavis Advisors, a corporate finance advisory boutique which he co-founded in 2010. Prior to Clavis, Giuseppe worked at Silver Point Capital where he was involved in a number of distressed debt and private equity investments. Previously, Giuseppe was part of the investment team at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. He began his career in the Private Equity Group at Lehman Brothers.
Giuseppe holds a magna cum laude degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University.
Reza is a Partner of Clavis Advisors, a corporate finance advisory boutique which he co-founded in 2010. Prior to Clavis, Reza worked at Silver Point Capital where he was involved in a number of distressed debt and private equity investments. He began his career in investment banking at Citigroup working on mergers and acquisitions in the energy and chemical sectors and subsequently moved to Corporate Structured Finance.
Reza received an MSc in Finance and Economics from the LSE where he also achieved a First Class BSc in Economics.
Previously Nicolas worked as an analyst at JP Morgan for two years before joining Freshsteam as an intern.
Nicolas received a MSc in Economics and Strategy from Imperial College London.
Tony is currently a non-executive director at various companies including Barchester, one of the UK’s largest residential care home businesses, Spire Healthcare, the leading UK listed (FTSE 250) private hospital and healthcare provider (Chair of the Remuneration Committee), Bioquell Plc, a London Stock Exchange-listed company with a leading position in bio-decontamination, Universal Engineering (Chair), a leader in drilling and cutting equipment, and Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity (Chair), one of the largest NHS charities. For nearly nine years up to late 2013, he was Chief Executive of the British Medical Association. Prior to joining the BMA as Chief Executive, Tony was in investment banking for over 25 years, most recently as a partner at Hawkpoint.
Previously, he was at BNP Paribas where he was Global Head of the Equities Division, a member of the Managing Board of the Group and a member of its four-person worldwide Corporate Finance Committee. Prior to that he was at Merrill Lynch both in London and New York.
Mark is a London-based independent consultant who advises investors in European financial services businesses on industry trends, company characteristics, potential entry strategies and the acquisition of specific assets. Mark also provides consulting services to industry participants on strategic change and operational improvement strategies.
From January 2008 to November 2012 Mark was CEO and a significant shareholder of Capquest Group Limited, one of the UK’s largest acquirers and servicers of unsecured consumer credit portfolios. As CEO, Mark had direct reporting responsibility for Capquest’s operations, commercial, finance, legal, compliance and new business development activities. He led all fundraising activities for the Company, including a majority investment by TowerBrook Capital Partners in 2011. During his nine years at Capquest, the Company’s revenue expanded by twelve-fold and it acquired consumer debt portfolios with a face value of £3.3 billion.
Prior to Capquest, Mark had over 25 years of investment and fundraising experience in leveraged finance and private equity in Europe and the U.S. Mark was Executive Director of PRICOA Capital Group, a London-based investment subsidiary of Prudential Financial. He was a Founding Partner of PRICOA Private Capital Partners I & II which attracted capital commitments from institutional investors and banks exceeding €760 million. Mark was a driver of the capital raising and investment efforts for both funds.
Mark holds a B.A. (Hons) degree from Tulane University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Colin has over 30 years of experience of advising mid-market UK private and public companies at board level across a wide range of sectors. For 12 years until 2011 he was a senior corporate finance partner at PwC with operational responsibility for the North West. He advised on mergers and acquisitions, including private equity investments and exits and public-to-private transactions. Before that he spent 10 years as an investment banker and head of operations in the North at BZW, advising on M&A and capital market transactions, including private companies on their initial public offerings and public companies on takeovers and divestments.
Colin is non-executive chairman of People buy from People (PbfP Limited), a consultancy which advises clients on how to grow organically through their relationships and by acquisition. He is a non-executive director on the board and finance committee of Manchester University, a global top 50 university (revenues of €1.4 billion), having held similar roles at Nottingham University (revenues of €1 billion). He is President of ICAEW Chartered Accountants, Manchester.
Colin gained a first class honours degree in Mathematics from Nottingham University, is a chartered accountant and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and a founder member of its Corporate Finance Faculty.
Chris Lebeer has a strong international executive and entrepreneurial background in the manufacturing based industries and in professional services.
In 2014, he initiated a management buy-in of SprimoGlass, Sprimont, Belgium and acts as their executive chairman. He is a Board member of Incofin, a leader in micro finance, and of Tinubu Square software in Paris, France. He co-founded Caloritum in 2014, Antwerp, Belgium, an energy storage start-up that won The UK Royal Chemistry Society’s Innovation Award in 2015.
Until 2014 he was on the Board of Betafence, Belgium and of Volution Holdings, Crawley, UK, and until 2015 he was on the board of GSE general contractors, Avignon, France. From the early nineties until 2010 he led several turnarounds as the former CEO of ACV Heating Systems, Banksys electronic payments and of the Delaware Computing systems group.
Chris graduated in engineering and in economics/business administration from KU Leuven, Belgium and from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA.
Peter B. Mensing
Based in the Netherlands, Peter’s consulting expertise is centred on strategy work for international companies in the consumer and financial services sectors.
He joined Booz Allen Hamilton (later Booz & Company) in 1984 and has worked on numerous assignments across Europe, the United States, and Asia for leading global companies as well as for a number of regional leaders. He was Managing Director Europe and Member of the Global Board and has worked on Mergers and acquisitions, Corporate and Growth Strategies and Post Merger Integration.
Currently he is Advisor at PwC, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Ksyos, member of the Supervisory Board at AFC Ajax and member of the Advisory Board of Ziggo. He also serves as Chairman of the Board at ‘Stadsschouwburg’ Fonds, is a board member of the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra and a member of the Advisory Board of the Dutch Bar.
Peter holds an MA in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam, where he graduated cum laude.
Paul is Chairman of the Industrial Development Advisory Board, providing independent commercial and financial advice to government, chairman of the Education and Training Foundation, improving the quality of skills training and chairman of the Unilink group, supplying specialist software and systems to the justice and prisons sectors.
He worked in mergers and acquisitions and strategic advice for thirty years at Schroders, Citigroup, Bank of America and DC Advisory where he was CEO. He has worked in the UK, Europe, the US and Japan. He read Law at Oxford and is a fellow of The Securities Institute.
Kees de Jong
Kees de Jong is a serial growth entrepreneur, having founded and led multiple fast-growing market research and digital businesses. He has extensive experience in developing, internationalizing and scaling up companies.
At age 20 he co-founded his first research company, Blauw Research. Since then, he has co-founded GDCC, Yournews, Bloomerce, and Scaleup Company. Recently (2009-2013), he was the CEO of SSI, the first global provider of data solutions and technology for consumer and business-to-business survey research.
Kees is very active in the Dutch growth ecosystem, where he is a member of the jury of several Dutch growth awards, and is on the board of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, and the Erasmus Center for Entrepreneurship along with the board of his own companies. Kees is frequently invited to speak about growth and scalability of businesses. He leads nlgroeit, a Dutch program that aims to enhance the growth capacity of Dutch SME’s. Kees published a book ‘Groter Groeien’, which is based on his columns in the Dutch financial press.
Kees studied Business Administration at Erasmus University and has taken part in several executive courses at MIT and Harvard.
